A nineteenth century copper straining spoon with a turned wooden handle. This would have been used for skimming the scum from stocks and preserves. It is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and then handle is turned from mahogany. The copper section is in very good condition but there is a piece of wood missing from the end of the handle.
